It doesn’t have to be GPL if theme’s not *distributed* like e.g. custom theme for a client site. But if theme’s going to be sold or distributed in the wilds for free, it has to GPL.
Remember that thingamagig with the Thesis theme? -

@xevo: sure its not bp devs responsability and im far away of thinking that. but it apears strange to me, that the ame plugins work perfect on a system which had been updated to the current version (1.2.6) after having the plugins already installed… so that could be a hint to the devs

The colors for the basic theme are intentionally bland or harsh to encourage customization, and the shadow effects can easily be removed.

@xevo Hey Xevo, ik had ergens gelezen dat jij bezig bent met een vernieuwde vertaling van buddypress. Heb je die al klaar? Is het mogelijk om die toegestuurd te krijgen? Mocht je er nog niet klaar mee zijn zou ik ook best willen helpen met de vetaling. Ik begrijp alleen niet hoe ik hier aan kan deelnemen.
