Probably can be done via a small custom plugin that removes the relevant hook. I didn’t check into, but I recall doing something similar in the past.

All of it is possible. Most of it is done via custom theme code, but some might need some plugin code.

M posted on the forum topic Buddypress problem....see movie we made for details in the group How-To and Troubleshooting:
Looks like Javascript problems. I’d be checking the CSS id’s and class names (in the theme HTML code) to make sure they are what they should be in order to work with BP.

My advice is to forget about chat tools for BP until the next round of major Web browser releases. That means Firefox 3.7 and IE 9, not sure about Chrome and Safari and Opera. Reason being, there are MAJOR changes coming with HTML 5 and some of those changes will make chat tools far more [...]

M posted on the forum topic BP Profile Privacy Compatability? in the group CD BuddyPress Avatar Bubble:
There are probably 3 different profile privacy plugins at the moment, maybe more. Each works differently. Look at your database for the activity table, go through it to find a BPA+ item, then make note of the related action type and use that.

M posted on the forum topic Buddypress vs. Buddypress with proprietary extensions in the group Buddypress vs. Drupal Commons…:
Seems to me that you’re subtly promoting paid services. I have no problem at all with paid services. just leary of the way you’re doing this right here in the BP forums. It might be better for you to write about all this “in your own living room” – e.g. your blog – since this [...]

M posted on the forum topic One simple change to BP that would make it significantly more usable. in the group Requests & Feedback:
Instead of making a lang file you could hook into nav item creation, then alter the group items to be labeled how you want. That’s what I do in some instances
